afaik because they wanted it to be a 'true' RTS and not just re-inforce. It would be really irritating honestly every time you spawn 1-4 combine soldiers to have a dropship container to come drop them off at the "Base Reinforcment Pad" But not impossible to do.

One thing i'd love to see though is that you can load a crate and drop it off near your oponents' base. I do look forward to this games multiplayer.

Besdies that, waiting for bio to get his stuff to me so i can aid him with faceposing (if he has it yet) and my studies have been keeping me away from 3ds max, hehe. I think i'll come home and commit myself to something simpler then a building and try to port it into source.

Good chance we will try out reinforcements by dropship, but the next release will just have basic buildings. Things don't really need to be realistic, it only needs to fit the game.
Basebuilding will be usefull anyway, for things like defensive structures.

Modellers
Open positions: 1 or 2
Job:
Main job is to model buildings for the basebuilding aspect, both combine and rebels. "Includes designing the buildings."

I could probably model for the mod, but it would be easier if i had some concept to work off of, not just telling me to- "make a combine barracks"

tower, from like prison as defensive structure
wall, self explanatory
sniper nest,
and maybe add some striders

maybe you should make the basebuilding for the apc like underground?
it doesnt have to be topside all the times..
why not make it spawn from the underground like antlions.. just not like them but like blastdoors opening and up pops an apc kind of way...
yours/Roveler

Are you taking that up from Halo Wars? because you know, the APC and warfogs or how i spell them are comming out of a underground base..................
Btw, if you would make the jeeps (buggy) in Half Life 2 Wars drive a little bouncy like warfogs in Halo Wars then that would be fun!
<3 Warfogs :P

Looking for software developers by chance? I suck at anything graphical but I've written a lot in C++ and other languages... I can write any backend, I just suck at frontends... I assume HL2 mods are written in C++?

I also have a friend who does story line stuff, he's really good at it, has experience... He and I were going to start a mod but I figured helping one already out there would be better...

Hey, I'd be willing to make maps, if it's needed, but I'm not to keen on modelling... Also if you need help with ideas for missions or the campaign or anything, I'd be willing to help.

I would like to become a tester for new maps and ideas, if possible.
I understand that you're full on testers but if you lose one for any reason I'm free.
